We hope you love wearing your Seda and Stone pieces as much as we’ve loved handcrafting them for you. We’re devoted to using high quality and durable materials, but we do ask that you follow our care guidelines, as even our 9K solid gold pieces need a little TLC.
Care Guidelines
Store each piece of jewellery individually in the soft pouch provided to avoid scratching and tangling
Keep each piece dry and away from all chemicals found present in: perfume, skincare, make-up, body oils, deodorant etc.
Avoid getting gold vermeil pieces wet, do not wear when swimming
Do not keep jewellery in direct sunlight as this may cause tarnishing
Clean your jewellery with a soft, non-abrasive and lint-free cloth. Never polish gold vermeil pieces vigorously as this may wear down the plating
Gold Vermeil
Gold vermeil is made up of high-quality layers of gold on sterling silver. Different from regular gold plating, the standards dictate that the gold portion must be of a certain thickness, 2.5microns. It’s normal for the gold to wear down and fade over time, however if taken care of, your piece will have long-lasting colour.
Clean your gold vermeil piece with a soft, non-abrasive and lint-free cloth. Never polish gold vermeil pieces vigorously as this may wear down the plating
9-Karat Solid Gold
Solid 9 Karat gold is an exceptionally hard-wearing metal that doesn’t tarnish or oxidise easily. You should however clean your solid gold piece once or twice a month, especially if you’re wearing them daily.
Clean your 9K solid gold piece with lukewarm water and mild soap, brush using a very baby-sized soft toothbrush, rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water, carefully dry with a clean cloth. For extra shine buff with a gold polishing cloth.
Planet-friendly Packaging
Producing beautiful packaging doesn't have to mean harming the environment. That’s why we ensure that all our boxes are FSC® certified. The FSC® mark guarantees that all materials come from an FSC® forest, where no more wood is cut down than the forest can reproduce. Even our tissue paper and stickers are FSC certified, printed on acid-free paper, using soy-based ink.
Each jewel comes with a faux suede pouch designed for you to keep for a lifetime. If you don't require one of these pouches, please do not hesitate to let one of the team know via hello@sedaandstone.com
